Wall of strength for Jesus Racing

Jesus Racing has received some welcomed support as they attempt to compete in two national championships running their own cars for the first time. This year has seen Jesus Racing add to its V8 Ute program by join the TCM series full time campaigning the Iconic number 9 XYGT HO. Team founder Andrew Fisher explains, “this has been a huge undertaking for us as not only are we doing double duty we are running our own team for the first time. We felt that we were lacking in a couple of areas and to be truthful were getting a little frustrated, we have received amazing support from Oscar Fiorinotto MD of Supashocks the problem is you just don’t know what you don’t know which makes it difficult”…..

After round 2 of the TCM championship we received a call from Greg Taylor owner of GT Motorsport, he was interested in the work we do in the High Schools, Gaols and detention centres as part of the Life Choices program, we had a chat and he was keen to help us out in some way. Greg a successful businessman was not interested in just providing sponsorship he wanted to help make us a better team. Over the next couple of days it became evident that Greg help the answer to many of our issues and this came through the relationship he has with Wall Racing, the organisation that runs his Audi GT3 R8 which he races in the GT Championship.

Fisher explain’s “greg has a very close relationship with David Wall and David Fyfe from Wall Racing and offered to facilitate their involvement in the engineering and development of the Jesus Racing race cars. Having the experience these guys have alongside the commitment and expertise of the Jesus Racing crew has literally been a God send and will allow us to take a massive step forward”.

GT Motorsports has also availed the services of gun for hire Bart Mawer who shares the driving duties with Greg in the Audi to help Fisher with both data analysis and driver coaching. Speaking of this Fisher said, one of the problems I faced as a driver was going from a multi car team down to a one car team which means you lose the reference points you would otherwise have, having Bart and also David Wall available to provide insight into the car and driving techniques is just amazing and once again thanks to Greg for making this happen.

Speaking of the relationship Greg Taylor made the following comments, we love what Andrew does on and off the track, he is very committed to the cause and puts a huge amount of effort in at his own personal cost, I just want to given them a helping hand to ensure they are event more competitive than they have already been. David Wall went on to say, our core skill as an organisation is to help both car and driver go faster, we are looking forward to extending the work we do through our relationship with GT Motorsport and to through our engineering and driving expertise behind Andrew and the team.
